UPDATE: Melissa Calrow was given the opportunity to come clean and tell the truth. She decided it was a better idea to passively-aggressively insult us, demean us, degrade us, and continue trying to discredit us. Oh well. She made her choice. Onwards...
Blame Melissa Calrow from Vieira's Bakery for this lawsuit. Because she's the one who set this all into motion.
She's the one who didn't tell the truth.
She lied very early on and made false claims, such as they were using a bag similar to burlap before us (this turned out to be a LIE), she also lied and stated to us that she 'didn't send the bag to anyone'. Instead of telling the truth, she chose to lie and dragged us into a six-figure lawsuit and jeopardized everyone's relationships in the process AND opened up Vieira's Bakery's customers to potential liability as a result. She's the one who sat across from the three of us, broke bread with us, looked us all in the face, and chose not to tell us about the knockoff bag. Blame Melissa Calrow because she was pretending to pursue the co-packing project on behalf of Vieira's Bakery when really she was just looking for an opportunity to steal from us.
Blame Melissa Calrow because she gave away the names of Vieira's customers and Vieira's business' practices. She's the one who was overseeing the co-packing project. She's the one who became obsessed with our burlap bag. She's the one who knew we had a trademark protection on it. She's the one who helped facilitate the signing of the NDA and coordinated our first meeting. Blame Melissa Calrow because she's the one who told us to 'proceed as you see fit' when Vieira's Bakery was given an opportunity to remedy the situation. Blame Melissa Calrow because she chose not to own up to the infringement. Blame Melissa Calrow because her friend, Miss Legal Eagle, decided to troll us and harass us on social media. Blame Melissa Calrow because she did this, and then go right ahead and blame Carlos and Carleen Vieira because they endorsed the infringement and gave their blessing and approval. We are simply responding to their actions, deceit, and greed. Now, Melissa Calrow wants to act like the victim when all she had to do very early on was admit that our burlap bag was knocked off, apologize, and have Vieira's Bakery stop using it. Instead, she chose to lie and Carlos Vieira backed up her lies. We are here because of those lies so.... Blame Melissa Calrow.
